Isha Offers Free Online Healing Classes to Healthcare Workers
By: Atlanta Northcutt --- Reporter for the Southern Standard
As the beauty of the spring and summer months is currently unfolding, many outdoor-enthusiasts, yogis and those wanting to participate in a variety of classes would be visiting Isha: Institute of Inner Sciences. However, it is continuing to remain closed for all visitation, yoga and healing sessions and retreats until further notice due to COVID-19.
The center is following CDC and World Health Organization (WHO) guidelines, as well as local health departments. The Inner Engineering Total program, Hatha Yoga programs, Satsangs and Free Offering sessions are officially postponed throughout North America until November.
With the challenges and stress faced by all during this trying time, especially healthcare professionals, online sessions are available on the institute’s website. Healthcare professionals will be given free online admission while other classes will be discounted by 50%.
These classes benefit physical, mental and spiritual well-being and are available to ages as young as 7-years-old. There are yoga classes to relieve stress and boost energy, meditation practices, a yoga of sound which can strengthen one’s physical and mental well-being and many others.
Isha Institute of Inner-Sciences is located on a sprawling 1,400 acres of land off of Highway 8. The beauty of nature the premises offers creates an immediate feeling of peacefulness and overall well-being.
Once regulations have been lifted and the institute feels visitors and attendees will be safe, Isha will continue to offer free yoga and meditation classes to all who are interested, as well as guided tours or private explorations of the abundance of calming pools and streams, waterfalls and overlooks of the majestic mountains below on a ten-mile hike. All of these experiences will also continue to be free and open to the public.
Once reopening, Isha will physically provide the positive healing tactics through its many practices and beautiful environment. Until that time, if needing a peaceful centering during the struggles created by COVID-19, online sessions will be available in the hopes of helping spread a mental and spiritual relief to all.
